Ta 152 H-1 Collector Plane Released in IL-2 Great Battles
This unique machine was a pinnacle of German piston engine technology of its time, designed to be able to engage Allied bomber formations at very high altitudes and prevail over Mustangs and Spitfires. You could say it was over-engineered with its two-stage three-speed (!) supercharger and two simultaneous boost systems (MW-50 water-methanol for altitudes up to 10 km and GM-1 nitrous oxide for 11+ km). Yes, this is not a typo - this piston-engine aircraft could not only climb above the modern airliners (its ceiling was 13 km), but also be able to dogfight there.
Like most late-war German war machines, there were too few of them to make a difference. By the spring of 1945, when it was too late to intercept Allied bomber formations - Allied ground forces were advancing into the Reich from both the east and the west - only about two dozen aircraft were combat-ready. The few planes were used in the usual fighter roles and, ironically, much closer to the ground than they were built for - covering the takeoffs and landings of the new jet-powered aircraft. This is similar to the story of the Allied P-47 Thunderbolts, which were designed for high-altitude combat and had special systems for it, but ended up spending a good part of their flying time close to the ground because they proved to be the best ground attack fighters of the US Air Army Air Forces.

this is beautiful but I wish there was a high altitude bomber like a B-17 otherwise the Ta-152 doesn't really have much of a role beyond standard fighter ops, give it a reason to show off it's capabilities please!

One thing I don't understand about this video: wasn't the 152 designed for high altitude? They shoulda focused more on that for this video, in my opinion. That said, though, fantastic airplane!

@@waltergreif4836 Yes, but I'm afraid we won't get them. As far as I know, it was expressly stated some time ago. I guess the game engine doesn't make it possible to use large bombers (too many gunner stations?).

The Ta-152H-1 looks super fantastic I can’t wait for the next release of the Polikarpov-I-153 and hopefully the next future new aircrafts is like Bf-110G-4 Night fighter Spitfire Mk.XII and the Gloster Meteor Mk.1

I hope you guys allow us to get out of of the planes and walk around. A small feature request ^^ I would love the missions to start by walking & getting into the aircraft and finishing by landing and getting out. Just a small touch that would add a lot to immersion. And tunnels you say? Guess who will be flying through them if possible: Me!
The only answers I hear from these devs are "too hard, not possible, we can't, game engine can't handle." You are too afraid to invest, you only develop content only if it's convenient, your russian manpower are always limited. So what's the point of Q&A and continuing this title then?
Give us more bomber aircraft variety! Flyable B-25's, B-26's, B-17, Wellington, Halifax! You always say bombers are hard to create as if you're doing full fidelity and state of the art flight model like DCS were doing. You guys are wasting too much resources on these never ending 109/spitfire/yak variants that flies all the same. Do some other work damn it you guys been doing the same content for this past 5 years!

This. Me and my mate who play together enjoy playing on Finnish Virtual Pilots and a few other servers a lot, but sometimes we just would like to play some missions against AI with just us. I've tried setting it up tons of times but I think my router is incompatible or something. Spent hours on the forums talking with people and getting lots of good help and advice but nothing has worked for us. Would be great to just have it work peer to peer like most other games do.
@@IronHorse1854 This is exactly my issue. There is a complicated solution where we have to change settings in the router. Wish there was a simpler method or a good guide to help us.
